From ccmmick at 2009-09-12 21:29:51 : I have been looking on the forum at some of the pictures and i came across this one.
If my memory is right this was a loco based at St Blazey Depot in Cornwall and the crash was at Burngullow.
The shunter sent a train onto the Drinnick Branch line to set it back into the yard, he had already accepted a train from Drinnick to Burngullow and he thought he had time to make the move.
The other loco was a class 37 nobody was hurt in the accident.
The Shunter had the sack some years later for other incidents.
From Don Mastin at 2009-11-28 12:54:02 : HI; Viewing your photos of a train wreck I pushed 1 on the photo evaluation I should have pushed 10. I liked the photos very much. Thanks Don Mastin.
